Our Funding

Blackburn Center competes for funding each year from state and federal funding sources to obtain a portion of the financial support needed to sustain programs for the Westmoreland County community. These funds are administered through the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare through the Westmoreland County Commissioners.

Blackburn Center must then turn to the local community to secure the remainder of the funds needed to maintain services. These local funds come from the United Way of Westmoreland County, foundations, local businesses, churches, civic groups, and ... people like you.

Cash contributions are especially appreciated; they allow us to apply the funds where we most need them. Donations of non-perishable food, paper products, cleaning supplies, personal care products and gift cards to grocery and discount stores are also welcome.
