Throughout the year, Blackburn Center sponsors and hosts events designed to gain support for our mission to end domestic and sexual violence, and to raise awareness about these issues.  With your help, we can reach our goal of ending gender-based violence in our community!

Our signature event, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, takes place each April in Greensburg.  In 2015, 1,100 people participated in the walk, carrying signs, wearing high heels, and signing the pledge to end gender-based violence. In 2016, we had 1,138 participants walking, running and even hobbling through the city.  In 2017, despite cold and rainy weather, we had more than 1,100 walkers.  In 2018, over 1,140 walkers joined us at Offutt Field in Greensburg.

Our 2019 event took place on April 13, 2019 at St. Clair Park in Greensburg. With gorgeous weather, we had more than 1,100 participants.  Pictures from the walk are available here.
