Walk a Mile 2021
You’ve come to us for 9 years … now we’re coming to you!
The logistics of the Walk are changing, as we adapt to the reality of COVID-19. But the call to
action to end gender-based violence remains the same. For its first nine years, the Walk was
held in downtown Greensburg. In 2021, we’re expanding the Walk to all of Westmoreland
County so you can take a stand while staying close to home.
We’ve developed a format that incorporates a mile walk in any setting in the county and online
activities to inform and inspire the community to act.
Since March 2020, we’ve learned a lot about the importance of community and caring for our
neighbors. As part of our activities, we’ll be exploring the impact of empathy on ending gender-
based violence and its power in making our world a better place for future generations.
Join us … we can explore together.
