Throughout the year, Blackburn Center sponsors and hosts events designed to gain support for our mission to end violence, and to raise awareness about these issues.  With your help, we can reach our goal of ending gender violence in our community!

Our signature event, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, takes place each April in Greensburg.  In 2019, over 1,110 people participated in the walk, carrying signs, wearing high heels, and signing the pledge to end gender violence

The 2023 Walk A Mile In Her Shoes event will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St. Clair Park in Greensburg.

Help Spread Awareness Against Human Trafficking!

Red Sand Project is an artwork installation created by the community through pouring red sand into pavement cracks. The grains of red sand represent the millions of men, women, and children who often fall through the cracks, and are exploited daily for commercial sex or forced labor.
