Legal System Support

Blackburn Center provides legal system support for victims of violence and crime and their loved ones during interviews with law enforcement and district attorneys, PFA hearings, Magisterial District Justice hearings and trials. Our advocates provide support, encouragement and information about available options and resources. Please note that Blackburn Center advocates are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice.

In addition to these legal advocacy services, BlackburnCenterLegal offers legal representation to victims of crime in matters that are directly related to their victimization. Otherwise, if you need an attorney in Westmoreland County, referrals are available through the Bar Association, which may include pro bono (free or low cost) assistance.
